Catch Up

Man have we been busy around here! All the kids are in sports and it seems like everyday we are off to do something.  Nick is playing baseball ad soccer and the triplets are playing t-ball.  Nicholas is doing great ad has gotten a home run and the game ball twice in baseball and even though his soccer team is not the best he had SOOOO much fun and last Saturday in the last game of the season he scored his first goal! So much fun to watch my kids :)

Introduction

Hi, it's been ages it seems like since I had a blog.  We are the Masons, Clyde and I were married in May of 2004 and knew that we wanted to start a family ASAP! We already know that we were going to have to go through the IVF process to have a family since a few years earlier I had as ruptured ectopic pregnancy and my other tube was also 100% blocked.  We were married and went on an amazing 11 night cruise to the Caribbean and when we got home the ball was already in motion to start our family.  We started the IVF process and less than a month later we got the call that we were pregnant.  We were blesses that it worked and we had one healthy little bean.  in March of 2005 we welcomed out son Nicholas.  The next 2 years we were a fun filled family of three and then we started talking about adding to our family.  We went back t the Dr and decided we would do a frozen transfer since we had some embryos left from out last cycle of IVf.  The first attempt at the FET was no good because I was not responding to the medication to prepare my body for transfer so we had to wait another 2 cycles before we could try again.  We were all set to go in for our FET, Clyde was n the shower when I got the phone call that none of our embryos survived being thawed out.  I was devastated! I didn't want Nicholas be an only child and just had no idea what we were going to do.  We did not have the $10,000+ to do another fresh cycle.  We waited a while and tried to save what we would need ad then ended up taking out a loan for the rest to try again.  So we were ready to go again! This time around I wanted to be more aggressive since I was older and most likely this was out last shot at having more children.  We decided along with the Dr to transfer 4 embryos and I was not worried about having more than 1 stick as with our first cycle I was younger and we transferred 3 perfect embryos and only one stuck. The 2 week wait for my blood test was the longest 2 weeks of my life! I went in the morning for my blood work and it was late afternoon before I got the call the we were indeed pregnant and the #'s were very good!  The next blood draw my #'s were more than double and the nurse said it could indicate more than one baby or just a really healthy pregnancy.  I remember going in for the first ultrasound and there were 3, THREE babies!!! I was excited and scared but sure we could do it! I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy and in July 2008 we welcomed our triplets Ella at 4lb, Jackson at 4lb 1oz and Cooper at 2lb 10oz! They were all in the NICU for 16 day's and ALL come home TOGETHER! We have had lots of bumps along the way but our life is great and we wouldn't change a thing.  So that catches you up and I am going to use the blog to keep memories for my family since now the kids are 7 and almost 4 we will be doing alot of fun stuff I will want to remember when the are older.  Please feel free to comment and let me know you read.
